Oven Baked Onion Rings

Ingredients 
  • 1 large onion, peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch thick slices.
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 table spoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tablespoon white pepper
Instructions
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees, F.
  • Prepare baking stone or cookie sheet with non-stick spray.
  • In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and white pepper.
  • In another small bowl beat eggs.
  • In a third small bowl, place bread crumbs
  • Using sstandard dredging (or breading) procedure, coat each individual ring in flour, then egg wash, then bread crumbs.
  • Place rings on baking sheet.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove with tongs to platter and serve hot.
